Chill out, walkers—Ice Pikmin are sliding into Pikmin Bloom starting November 1st! These frosty little friends are here to bring a refreshing sparkle to your strolls, turning every step into a breeze. And the fun doesn’t stop there—coming soon, a brand-new free update for Pikmin 4 will let you meet Decor Pikmin in-game and even transfer them over to Pikmin Bloom. Lace up, step outside, and get ready for a season of blooming, sparkling, and crossing worlds with your Pikmin squad!
Ice Pikmin Arrival Date & Details
On November 1st at 00:00 local time, you may begin to find blue seedlings that grow into Ice Pikmin when out and about on your walks. Initially, Ice Pikmin seedlings will be available for Restaurant and Roadside locations only. When you raise your friendship levels with Ice Pikmin grown from seedlings found at these locations, they will become Chef Hat Decor Pikmin (Restaurant) or Sticker or Coin Decor Pikmin (Roadside) respectively. Rare Decor will also be made available for all Coin Decor Pikmin.
Additionally, all users will receive a mission to walk 100 steps. Clearing this mission gets you a seedling to meet your very first Ice Pikmin! After clearing your first mission, you will receive two more missions to walk 2,000 steps and 3,000 steps respectively. You must clear the second mission in order to access the third one. Rewards for these missions are an Ice Pikmin Beanie for your Mii and an Ice Pikmin Printed T-shirt for your Mii.
When you have already met all Decor Pikmin from a certain category, that category icon is displayed in yellow instead of gray. With the arrival of Ice Pikmin, Restaurant and Roadside category icons will revert to gray for all users. When you meet Ice Pikmin for these categories, the icon will become yellow again.
Pikmin 4 free update: Get your spacesuit ready, Decor Pikmin are making their way into Pikmin 4!
This November, a free update will bring a fun new twist to your adventures with Pikmin and your loyal rescue pup Oatchi on a mission to save stranded explorers in Pikmin 4! For the first time ever, you will be able to meet and befriend Decor Pikmin in Pikmin 4 — and that’s not all! You will also be able to send these Decor Pikmin to Pikmin Bloom once you enable data transfer between the two games. A total of 24 Decor Pikmin will appear in Pikmin 4, including 10 all-new types! Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

Urgent Storage Prep Needed? We got ya!
On October 23, 2025 at 0:00 am UTC, we’ll be releasing the following storage upgrades and feature so you can make any necessary adjustments to give Ice Pikmin and new Decor Pikmin a warm welcome!
The Pikmin storage limit will be expanded from 3200 to 4000.
**You will continue to be able to purchase storage upgrades of 50 Pikmin at a time in the in-app shop, up to a total of 3960, after which upgrades are available for 10 Pikmin at a time.
**The Web Store will continue to offer Pikmin Collection Special Packs for 500 Pikmin (for users whose storage is at 3500 or below) or 200 Pikmin (for users whose storage is at 3,800 or below).
The postcard storage limit will be expanded from 3000 to 4000.
**You will continue to be able to purchase storage upgrades of 50 postcards at a time in the in-app shop.
**The Web Store will continue to offer the Postcard CollectionSpecial Pack for 500 postcards (available to users is at 3,500 or below).
History for Pikmin released after October 23, 2025 at 0:00 am UTC will remain on your map in the form of a Pikmin silhouette displayed at the location where you originally found their seedling.
**This applies only to Pikmin you grew and plucked from their seedling. No history will remain for seedlings recycled before growing them.
