Experience Kyoto like never before with the “Hidden Gems of Kyoto” Postcard Walk!
Nov 5 2024

Today, we’re kicking off an all-new type of event: the Postcard Walk, in collaboration with the “Hidden Gems of Kyoto Project” ran by Kyoto City and the Kyoto Tourism Association. Whether you’ve ever been to Japan or not, we’re sure that you’ve heard about Kyoto at least once before! While this historical city has always been a reference point for sightseeing in Japan, the bulk of tourism tends to focus on a few select areas, leaving much to discover in a city rich with charm and tradition. The “Hidden Gems of Kyoto Project” invites every visitor to take their experience to a deeper layer, so that you may discover the charms of the unbeaten path!

What is the Hidden Gems of Kyoto Project?

The Hidden Gems of Kyoto Project is an initiative organized by Kyoto City and the Kyoto Tourism Association to discover and bring forth the charms of hidden tourist attractions in cooperation with local communities and private businesses. Its objective is to attract more tourists to the entire city area, reducing crowding at famous sightseeing spots, creating new interactions between people, and revitalizing the local community.

What is the Postcard Walk?

The Postcard Walk is a Pikmin Bloom mini-event that can be enjoyed in the designated areas for the Hidden Gems of Kyoto Project. By visiting Special Spots in each area, you’ll be able to obtain postcards associated with the location.
