What is Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025?

Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025 is a paid event where users walk with their Pikmin squad and complete special missions to enjoy an array of rewards such as encounters with special Decor Pikmin, exclusive Mii costumes and postcards!

Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025 spans over two events: Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai, a live event held in Sendai, Japan, and Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Challenge Anywhere, an online event that users can participate in from anywhere in the world.

Live Event “Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai”

The live event will be held in Sendai, Japan, and you can participate by purchasing a ticket for either Saturday, September 20 or Sunday, September 21. Let’s explore Special Spots in Sendai and cheer up the hungry yellow Pikmin! At these Special Spots, you can obtain Gold Seedlings of various types depending on the location, red cosmos nectar, and postcards featuring a special design.

Furthermore, Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai will offer the option to purchase an “Active 2-Day Option” for ticket holders. Purchasing this “Active 2-Day Option” will extend the period for participating in special mushroom battles and obtaining special postcards, which are normally only available for one day with a regular ticket, to two days. This means users will be able to enjoy these and other additional bonuses on both Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 regardless of which day their main event ticket is for.

Tickets for “Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai” are priced at 2,300 Japanese Yen, and the “additional bonus” is priced at 850 Japanese Yen.

Online Event “Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Challenge Anywhere”

One week after the event in Sendai, we will hold a paid event from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28, 2025. This event is available for users all over the globe and doesn’t require in-person participation!

By purchasing tickets and completing special missions, users can obtain a special badge and meet special Decor Pikmin. Please note that online events and real-world events differ in terms of dates, ticket prices, event content, and rewards.

Tickets will be priced at 1,600 Japanese Yen (or equivalent price in your currency, if your payment settings in App Store/Google Play are other than Japanese Yen.)
Tickets will be sold at the in-app shop and at the Web Store. Purchases made through the Web Store will receive an additional 300 bonus coins and 3 mushroom recharge tickets as a bonus.

Event Feature

Ticket holders can enjoy the following special experiences.

*You can only participate on the dates listed on the ticket you have. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to experience the event.
*Active 2-Day Option” can only be purchased by ticket holders, and the experience time differs from that of the ticket. For details, please refer to section 8.

1. Let's get the gourmet Yellow Pikmin nice and full!

When you approach the event area, you’ll receive a special Gold Seedling and a single-use slot. First, plant this Gold Seedling, grow, and pluck the Yellow Pikmin. The Yellow Pikmin you pluck out seems to be very hungry! This Yellow Pikmin is quite particular about nectar. Let’s explore the Special Spots with the Yellow Pikmin to find nectar that satisfies them! When you become good friends with the Yellow Pikmin, they’ll become a Decor Pikmin wearing a “Rosette”.

2.Join in on the event-exclusive Festival Mushroom battles!

Giant, event-exclusive Festival Mushrooms will appear around the event area! Destroy lots of them to get memorable postcards! These mushrooms are different from regular mushrooms in the following ways:

Festival Mushrooms will not be displayed to users who do not have a ticket for “Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai.”
There’s no limit to the number of participants per mushroom.
Even if 5 or more people have already joined, you can still participate without using a Mushroom Recharge Ticket by using your three daily free battles. Once you’ve used up your free battles, you’ll need a Mushroom Recharge Ticket.
You won’t be able to use Mushroom Battle Bullhorns, and you can’t cancel a mushroom battle midway.
When you destroy a Festival Mushroom, you’re guaranteed to get a rare type of Mystery Box from September’s event.

3. Dress up your Mii with a specially designed costume!

For those who purchased event tickets, a screen to receive a special design Mii costume (hoodie and Pikmin visor) will appear on September 17, 2025, around 9:00 (local time) and it will be delivered to your in-app item box. You’ll be able to choose one of seven types of Pikmin visors when you receive it. Get your Mii in full dedicated gear and enjoy walking!

*Please note that you cannot choose a visor color you already own among the 7 available types.
*If you purchase your ticket after September 17, 2025, 9:00 (local time), the hoodie and visor will be delivered to you within 10 minutes of purchase.

You must claim your Mii costume by September 21, 2025, 14:59 (UTC).

4. Receive your gift at Nishi Park!

Ticket holders can pick up an event map, a Pikmin paper sun visor, and a plastic file folder at Cherry-blossom viewing square in Nishi Park. Pikmin paper sun visors are available in seven different types.

*Please note that the Pikmin paper sun visors are in sufficient stock for each day, but depending on demand, you may not be able to choose the type you want.

5. Complete the event missions to get Decor Pikmin and an exclusive badge!

By clearing the three special missions that you received in 1), you will receive a special badge and Gold Seedlings. The Gold Seedlings you will receive for clearing the missions will be White and Winged Present Sticker (Gold) Decor Pikmin.

6. Explore Sendai and the surrounding area by visiting Special Spots!

Explore Sendai by visiting the Special Spots listed on the event map. Swipe down on each Special Spot to receive a Gold Seedling that will become a Decor Pikmin related to that location, red cosmos nectar, and a specially designed postcard. One of the Special Spots will award a Gold Seedling for Red Photo Button Decor Pikmin.

7. Get specially designed postcards!

All postcards you get during the event are specially designed for Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025. Please collect as many postcards as you can and send them to your friends as a souvenir of the event.

8. Purchase the "Active 2-Day Option" to create even more event memories!

Want to capture even more memories from your trip to Sendai this weekend? By purchasing the “Active 2-Day Option,” you can extend the following experiences from one day to two:

You’ll be able to participate in the event-exclusive Giant Festival Mushrooms even on the day you don’t have a ticket fort, during both event days (from 8:00-18:00 on Saturday, September 20 and on Sunday, September 21).
*Please note: Participation in Festival Mushroom Battles is only possible within the Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai event area.
From Saturday, September 20, 8:00 until Sunday, September 21, 23:59, all postcards you obtain will be a special design.

You’ll also receive the following extra bonuses from Saturday, September 20, 8:00 until Sunday, September 21st, 23:59

Seedling growth speed will be doubled (walking while planting flowers will speed it up even more).
When you use a Detector, it will find 4 to 8 fruits or seedlings, which is more than the usual. Of these, 2 will always be seedlings.
The number of petals required to get a postcard from a Big Flower will be halved.

How to purchase tickets

You can purchase the event ticket from the Pikmin Bloom app.

STEP 1

Open the Pikmin Bloom app. Be sure to log in with the account of the user who will experience the event.

STEP 2

In the home screen, tap the [Challenge List] widget (the banner that shows the mission progress) that appears below the map.

STEP 3

Tap [Local Events] in the top right corner.

STEP 4

Find “Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai” and Tap [Buy].

STEP 5

Follow the on-screen instructions to select your preferred date and time for participation, as well as whether you’d like to include the “Active 2-Day Option”. Please note that the “Active 2-Day Option” can also be purchased at a later date.

STEP 6

Review Terms of Services and Privacy Policy. After checking all the notes, tap “Payment Method” in the lower right corner.

STEP 7

Payment can be made by credit card or Apple Pay (iOS only)/Google Pay (Android only).

Can I purchase tickets with a child account?

It is not possible to purchase tickets with a child account or for a friend to purchase tickets for you. Therefore, it is not possible to participate in events with a child account.

Can I purchase tickets for friends?

Yes, you can. When purchasing tickets, up to 5 friends in the application can purchase tickets for the same date together. Once purchased, the date and time slot of the ticket cannot be changed, so please consult with your friends before purchasing. For more information, please see this support page.

I want to change the date and time of my ticket. My friend purchased a ticket for me, but I want to change the date and time.

If you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to experience the event.
If you visit on a different date from the date indicated in your ticket, there is no special game experience (missions, Special Spots), and you cannot receive gifts for a ticket holder.
If you have purchased the “Active 2-Day Option”, you will be able to enjoy some event experiences. For details, please see Event Features 8..

Note for Ticket Purchases

Although the event will be held for two days, each user can only participate on one of the two days.
Child accounts will not be able to participate in the event.
The event date cannot be changed after ticket purchase.
Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).
Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Even if tickets are not sold out, sales will end at 15:59 (JST) on the day of the event.
Events can only be enjoyed at the date, time, and location indicated on the ticket. Without an event ticket, you will not be able to participate in the event.
Event content is subject to change without notice.
Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai will be photographed and filmed by Niantic and Nintendo for marketing purposes. Photos and videos taken during the event may be used on Niantic and Nintendo’s website, event-related blogs, social media, etc. We appreciate your understanding in advance.

About Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai

Where can I join Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai?

Only users who purchased a ticket will be eligible to participate in this event.
In order to receive the special event missions, the Pikmin Bloom app must be launched once around the Special Spots within the venue during the event hours.
The special event missions must be completed before 18:00 (JST) on the date listed on your ticket.
There is no specified order to visit the Special Spots.

For those who were unable to get the Yellow Rosette Decor Pikmin during Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai

Users who purchased tickets will be able to get the Rosette Decor Pikmin even if they were unable to find the decor or participate in the event during the event time.
If you do not launch the Pikmin Bloom app around the venue’s Special Spots during the event hours on the date indicated on your ticket, you will not be able to start the event mission. In this case, a Gold Seedling will be awarded to you within two weeks after the end of the event. By plucking this Gold Seedling, you will get a Rosette Decor Pikmin. You must claim it by January 31, 2026, 23:59 (JST).
If you received the Golden Seedling but did not pluck the Yellow Pikmin during the event, it will still become a Rosette Decor Pikmin when plucking it after the event has ended.
If the event ends before you could complete the special mission, you will still be able to receive a gift box containing the Rosette Decor by raising the Yellow Pikmin’s friendship level once, for example by feeding it one nectar.

Where can I receive the gifts?

Gifts for ticket holders will be distributed at Cherry-blossom viewing square in Nishi Park during the event hours. Please come to the venue at your ticket’s time slot or between 14:00-18:00 of your ticket’s date.
We will confirm your ticket in the app when we hand out the gifts. Please make sure to log in to the app with the account you claimed the ticket for before arriving.

Can children participate?

Child account users are not eligible to participate in the event.

Can I attend an event without a ticket? / Can I attend the event on a date different from my ticket’s date?

If you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to experience the event.

What should I do if I don't have enough red cosmos petals to complete a mission?

You can get red cosmos nectar by swiping each Special Spot, then feed it to Pikmin to get petals. By visiting the Special Spots, you can get enough red cosmos nectar to complete the mission. In case you still run out, you can exchange 180 red cosmos petals for 300 coins at the in-app shop. (This will only be shown to ticket holders on the day of the event.)

Can I participate in both Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025: Sendai and Pikmin Bloom Journey 2025:Challenge Anywhere?

Yes, you can do so if you purchase a ticket for both events.

Can I purchase the “Active 2-Day Option” after I purchased the live event ticket?

Yes, you can. You can purchase “Active 2-Day Option” later from the same place where you purchased your live event ticket. Please note that if you purchase tickets after the event has started, the effect will be valid from that point on, and the end time of the effect will not change.

If you have an event ticket but are still not able to access the event-exclusive content, please contact the information center at the gift distribution venue. The information center is open from 8:00 to 18:00 on the day of the event. Alternatively, you can contact us through the app.

Health & Safety

Check weather forecasts prior to attending the event and wear appropriate clothing.
Please be sure to stay hydrated and take breaks.
If you would like to purchase beverages, please use vending machines, nearby supermarkets or convenience stores. As for the nectar for the Yellow Pikmin, please search for it together with your Yellow Pikmin.
Please contact the information center at the gift distribution venue for lost and found items or in case of harassment.
Parking: as there is no parking available on the premises, please use public transportation to make your way to the venue.
Restrooms: Please use the public restrooms.
Please conduct yourself at the event in accordance with the Live Event Code of Conduct.
If the event venue, the area around the Special Spots, or the streets are crowded, please do not stay in the same area for a long time and move to other places. For the safety of the event, our staff may ask you to move away from the area. We appreciate your understanding in advance.
If the network is unstable due to congestion, please try moving around or wait for a while.

Garbage

Please take all of your garbage home with you.

Battery charging

Keep your device charged and consider bringing a fully charged portable charger to enjoy the event without interrupting the game.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items will be handled at the information center in the gift distribution venue. After the event, unclaimed lost and found items will be delivered to the nearest police station.

Inclement weather and emergency notice

This event will be held regardless of the weather. However, it may be canceled in the case of extreme weather or natural disasters.
