This January, we’re kicking off a special event featuring Osechi Decor Pikmin! Osechi is a traditional Japanese dish prepared with symbolic ingredients, each one wishing for health and good fortune in the year ahead. It is typically prepared ahead of time and eaten during the first three days of the new year, starting on New Year’s Day.
Of course, Osechi Decor will be available for all types of Pikmin, including Ice. Additionally, Party Popper 2025 and 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin are making a comeback!
*Party Popper 2025 and 2024 Glasses Decor won’t be available for Ice Pikmin.

Clear Event Challenge missions to obtain seedlings for Osechi Decor Pikmin!
For every Event Challenge mission that you clear, you’ll be able to obtain rewards at random. These can be Koma Spinning Tops, seedlings that grow into Osechi Decor Pikmin, flower petals, or other items. Additionally, when the Big Flower at the center of the stage blooms, you’re guaranteed to receive a Gold Seedling on top of the random rewards.
Missions for the event will be published here on the day the event starts – stay tuned!
*Seedlings obtained by clearing Event Challenge missions will grow into any of the 8 available types for Osechi Decor Pikmin. Please note that you’ll meet them at random and are not guaranteed to complete the whole set.

When you purchase an Event Premium Pass, you’ll be able to enjoy the following perks for the duration of the event (January 1 through 31):
*The Event Premium Pass is available to users from Lv20 onwards.

Clear Event missions to obtain seedlings for 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin and seasonal Mii costumes
At the start of the event, you will receive missions to collect Koma Spinning Tops. By clearing them, you will be able to obtain seedlings for 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin and event-inspired costumes for your Mii!
*Please note that 2024 Glasses Decor is not available for Ice Pikmin.
*Koma Spinning Tops can be obtained as Event Challenge rewards, from flower planting, from Mystery Boxes received when destroying Magnificent Mushrooms, and with the purchase of an Event Premium Pass, a limited-time bundle pack, or a Web Store Exclusive Bundle Pack.
*Once the event ends, the Koma Spinning Top missions will disappear. Please note that the Koma Spinning Tops have no purpose outside of this event.
Destroy Magnificent Mushrooms to get Mystery Boxes containing Koma Spinning Tops and seedlings for Party Popper 2025 Decor Pikmin!
During the event, you may encounter Magnificent Mushrooms. When you destroy them, you’ll receive Mystery Boxes that contain items such as Koma Spinning Tops and seedlings for Party Popper 2025 Decor Pikmin, among others! Osechi,Party Popper 2025, 2024 Glasses, and 2023 Glasses Decor Pikmin are the strongest against these mushrooms, so be sure to send them out to destroy them!
*Please note that seedlings for 2023 Glasses Decor can’t be obtained as rewards during the event, but they will be made available via Special Tickets in the in-app shop.
Additionally, on weekends, you may encounter Giant Magnificent Mushrooms that contain a rare type of Mystery Box. On these weekends, the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn will be available for use up to 3 times a day, too! Team up with your friends to destroy some mighty mushrooms together!
⚫️Giant Magnificent Mushrooms will appear on the following weekends:
*During the event, Osechi, Party Popper 2025, 2024 Glasses, and 2023 Glasses Decor Pikmin will be slightly stronger than usual against all types of mushrooms.
*If you receive a call via a Mushroom Battle Bullhorn to a Magnificent Mushroom before the event has started in your timezone, you will be able to join the battle and help destroy the mushroom. The Mystery Box you receive as a reward will be the one for the Osechi Event.
*If you join a Magnificent Mushroom battle after the event is over in your timezone, you won’t receive a Mystery Box.
