Cosmoses have just started blooming! The name of these flowers has its origins in the Greek word “cosmos”, meaning harmony or balanced universe. These annual flowers come in a variety of colors and sizes and, depending on the species, bloom anywhere from early spring to the fall. Whether you’re in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, keep an eye out for them this month!

October Big Flower Forecast

• Throughout October, Big Flowers may occasionally bloom into pansies, roses, carnations, spider lilies and cosmos flowers when you plant regular red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

• After November 1st, 2022, roses and spider lilies will no longer bloom spontaneously from regular flower petals.

Nectar Update

During October, fruit obtained from tackling mushrooms will give either regular, pansy, rose, carnation, spider lily, or cosmos nectar.
