Considered by some to be one of the most strategic games, chess has its origins in the ancient game of chaturanga, an old Indian game that was invented at least 1,500 years ago. The game reached its current form around the 16th century, and is enjoyed by avid players all over the world.

To celebrate the upcoming International Chess Day, on July 20th, we’ll be holding a special event where you’ll be able to meet your very own “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin for a limited time!

Event details

During the event, you’ll receive a “Golden Seedling” at the end of all Weekly Challenges (Please note that you will not receive this seedling if you leave a challenge halfway through).
“Golden Seedlings” received during this event require only 100 steps to grow into “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin.

Additionally, during the event, you will find Huge seedlings marked with a “Special Event” icon during your walks. These will also grow into “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin!

*You can have a “Golden Seedling” and a “Special Event” Huge Seedling in your inventory at the same time.

*You can only have one “Special event” huge seedling in your inventory at any given time. In order to find a new one, you will need to grow and pluck the one you already have first.

*“Chess Piece” Decor is available for Yellow, Blue, White and Purple Pikmin only. Please note that it is not possible to obtain a “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin by raising your friendship level with an existing Pikmin.

*“Golden Seedlings” and Huge seedlings marked with a “Special event” icon will grow into “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin even after the event ends.

*While “Chess Piece” Decor Pikmin can be found for a limited time only, they will be available in the future again.

*Please ensure you’re using the app’s latest version (v48 or later) for updates to display correctly.
