Lunar New Year festivities, which are usually celebrated around February in several regions throughout Asia, are just around the corner! This year, Purple, White, Winged and Rock Pikmin will join Red, Blue and Yellow Pikmin in donning Lunar New Year Ornaments as they join the party for the first time! There’s two types of ornaments: Red and Gold, which makes for a total of 14 Lunar New Year Ornament Decor Pikmin. Ready to set out on walks to collect these auspicious motifs? Let’s go!

Collect Red Envelopes to obtain exclusive Mii costumes and seedlings for Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin!
Once the event starts, you’ll receive missions requesting you to collect Red Envelopes. By clearing these missions, you’ll be able to obtain Lunar New Year Event exclusive Mii costumes, as well as seedlings for Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin.
Fun fact: Red Envelopes are decorative paper envelopes containing congratulatory gifts which are given away during Lunar New Year to wish for the happiness of one’s loved ones.
*Red Envelopes can be obtained as Event Challenge rewards, from flower planting and Mystery Boxes, as a bonus with the purchase of an Event Premium Pass, and from the Event Challenge Special Pack.
*The seedlings obtained from clearing these missions grow into Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin at random.
*Clearing the first 19 missions guarantees you’ll meet all Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin.
*Once the New Year Event ends, the Red Envelope missions will disappear. Please note that the Red Envelopes have no purpose outside of this event.

Clear Event Challenge missions to obtain seedlings for Lunar New Year Ornament: Red Decor Pikmin
For every Event Challenge mission that you clear, you’ll be able to obtain rewards at random. These can be Red Envelopes, seedlings that grow into Lunar New Year: Red Decor Pikmin, flower petals, or other items. Additionally, when the Big Flower at the center of the stage blooms, you’re guaranteed to receive a Gold Seedling on top of the random rewards.
*Seedlings obtained through clearing Event Challenge missions will grow into either Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Lunar New Year Ornament: Red Decor Pikmin. Please note that you’ll meet them at random and are not guaranteed to complete the whole set.

When you purchase a Premium Event Pass, you’ll be able to enjoy the following perks for the duration of the event (February 1st through 25th):
*The Event Premium Pass is available to users from Lv20 onwards.
*The Event Premium Pass won’t be displayed to users at or below Lv19.
*Event Premium Pass rewards apply retroactively for cleared Event Challenge missions, regardless of when you obtain it at the shop.

Destroy Lunar New Year Mushrooms to get Mystery Boxes!
During the event, you may encounter special shiny mushrooms in red and gold colors: the Lunar New Year Mushrooms. When you destroy them, you’ll receive Mystery Boxes that contain items such as Red Envelopes and flower petals, among others. Lunar New Year Ornament Decor Pikmin are the strongest against these mushrooms, so be sure to send them out to destroy them!
Additionally, on weekends, you may encounter Giant Lunar New Year Mushrooms that carry a rarer type of Mystery Box!

*Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin will be even stronger than Lunar New Year Ornament: Red Decor Pikmin.
During the event, both Red and Gold Lunar New Year Ornament Decor Pikmin will be stronger than usual against all Mushrooms

Gold Seedlings obtained from inviting friends and family to play Pikmin Bloom between February 1st and February 29th will grow into Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Lunar New Year Ornament: Red Decor Pikmin.
*In order for the Lunar New Year Ornament Decor Pikmin to display correctly, please use app version v86 or later.
